Turkey Trot Happening in Delaware Thanksgiving Morning
By Toby Boyce, on November 19th, 2012
Need to get out of the house and get rid of a little stress on Thanksgiving morning? Head to the Delaware City Wetlands Park for the Turkey Trot on Thursday, November 22, at 8:30 a.m.
The Wetlands Park is located behind Glennwood Commons, along MillRun Crossing off State Route 36/37 in eastern Delaware, Ohio. Head south at the State Route 521 and State Route 36/37 intersection but don’t enter Glenwood Commons and the park will be ahead on your right.
The cost is $30 to register for the event on race-day morning and you might get lucky and grab a long-sleeve T-shirt. There is also a $5 kids run.
What do you get for your sign-up fee? Kids get to chase a turkey, post-race snacks, pumpkin pie for first 200 finishers, long-sleeve T-shirt, and a great way to work up an appetite for Thanksgiving dinner.
