The first-week of September used to be one of my favorite weeks of the year.
Why wouldn’t it be? I got to share the story of two of the sweetest love birds you’d ever meet — my mom and dad. You see dad was born on September 4, and mom being the youngster she is wasn’t born until September 7 and they got married the day she turned 18.
Then dad passed away from a heart attack and now this great week is forever tinged in sadness as I miss his comforting words and soothing smile.
Well, this weekend we were gone for a wedding and what did we find upon our return home? Lovely art work thanks to the neighbor’s grandchildren.
They did it for fun, how little did they know it was the first time I’d smiled all weekend. Just another reason I love living in Locust Curve and Delaware, Ohio.
