Fine Art, Food, Wine Highlights Best Delaware Ohio Has to Offer
Join Main Street Delaware on Friday, August 17, for an evening of Fine Art, Food & Wine including mouthwatering treats from the city’s finest restaurants and a “Views on Delaware” auction of Delaware-inspired art created by local artists in historic Delaware, Ohio.
Fine Art, Food & Wine will be held from 6 – 9 p.m. in Ohio Wesleyan University’s Schimmel/Conrades Science Center. Tickets are $30 for singles and $50 for couples and are available by visiting mainstreetdelaware.com or by calling (740) 362-6050.
The artworks will be on display as they are completed at the Central Ohio Symphony office, 24. E. Winter St., Delaware, where bids may be made in advance of the Aug. 17 silent auction. Additional silent auction items also will be available to help showcase all that the community has to offer.
All proceeds will benefit Main Street Delaware, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) member-supported organization that seeks to preserve and promote historic downtown Delaware. In addition to coordinating each month’s First Friday celebration, Main Street Delaware oversees the Downtown Farmers’ Markets on Saturdays and Wednesdays; maintains the downtown flower planters; coordinates the annual Christmas tree lighting, Santa House, and holiday parade; and much more.
“Fine art, food, and wine – does it get any better than that?” asked Frances Jo Hamilton, Main Street Delaware’s executive director.
“Main Street Delaware is excited to host this event each year and to provide events all year long that help to make Delaware such a great community in which to live, work, and play,” she said. “This fundraiser is vital to our success and a great way to show support for downtown Delaware as well as to enjoy an evening with friends. I hope you will join us.”
Conrades/Schimel is located at 90 South Henry Street in downtown Delaware, Ohio.
