Community Garden Conference Coming to Delaware
What is a community garden? What vegetables should you grow?
The OSU Extension-Delaware County Master Gardeners, Community Garden Committee will conduct a one-day committee on Saturday, February 4, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Columbus State Community College’s Delaware campus. You will interact with knowledgeable speakers and gardeners on how to insure the “community” within your community garden.
Keynote Speaker, Bill Dawson (Growing to Green Coordinator Franklin Park Conservatory) on Fundamentals of Community Gardening. Other topics will include:

- Ohio State University Extension and others are hosting a conference on community gardens in Delaware.
- Soils and Composting by Donna Rae (Delaware County Soil & Water Conservation District)
- Succession Planting
- Companion Planting
- A panel discussion with community garden experts
Cost is $15 and includes a boxed lunch. An OSU community garden guide will also be available for an additional $12.
