Orange Library Hosting Grand Opening Saturday

The long-awaited new addition to the Delaware County Library system will have its grand-opening on Saturday, May 14, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in Orange Township of southern Delaware (Ohio) County.

The Orange Branch Library will have its ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. Other opportunities will include a chance to meet the staff, light refreshments, browse the stacks, self-guided tours, get a library card, character visits, story times, and of course give aways.

The building was funded through a 10 year, 1-mill operating levy approved by Delaware County residents in May 2009. The building cost $5.6 million and another $2.9 million in books, equipment, computers, furnishings, and more has gone into the new community library branch. Local architect firm MKC Associates, Inc. and the design for the branch which is being constructed by Elford Inc.

The new Orange Branch Library is located at 7171 Gooding Boulevard just west of US 23 in southern Delaware County.
