The City of Dublin’s St. Patrick’s Day Celebration includes many traditions, one of which is the naming of the Grand Leprechaun.
This honor will be given to an individual or couple who has made a significant contribution to the City of Dublin through their volunteer efforts and leadership roles. The Grand Leprechaun will lead the parade and serve as a dignitary for the St. Patrick’s Day Celebration. The deadline for nominations is Friday, January 14.
The individual or couple recognized with this award will meet the following criteria:
- Must be a resident(s) of the City of Dublin for at least three consecutive years or must be a corporate citizen(s) of the City of Dublin for at least three consecutive years,
- Must be an active leader(s) in the community on a volunteer basis,
- Must have been involved in service projects or volunteer efforts outside of work,
- requirements in the past year,
- Must attend the St. Patrick’s Day Celebration,
- May not be a current elected official or running for office, and
- May not have been recognized by the City in the past 5 years.
