Who is the best conference center chef in the nation? The International Association of Conference Centers’ Copper Skillet 2011 USA Competition will take place at 5 p.m. on Thursday, January 6, at The Conference Center at NorthPointe in southern Delaware County’s Lewis Center.

The seven competing United States’ chefs will receive a “mystery basket” of ingredients at the start of the competition after which they will be free to create any style of dish. Each chef will have 15 minutes to review the ingredients and plan; followed by 30 minutes to create their dish and present to the local culinary judges.
Tickets are available for the event and attendees will have the chance to enjoy:
- Wine-tasting reception
- 30-minute live cooking competition
- Buffet dinner including specialties by Executive Chef Mark Moran, the 2009 Copper Skillet U.S.A. Champion
- Announcement of competition 2011 U.S.A. Copper Skillet Champion
