No matter where you were born in Ohio, you can now get your birth certificate at the Delaware General Health District in downtown Delaware, Ohio.

Starting this week, the Health District can issue birth certificates for persons born in any Ohio county. Previously, the local health department could only issue certificates for persons born in Delaware County.
The birth certificates are available at the Health District’s Vital Statistics desk on the second floor of 1 West Winter Street in downtown Delaware, Ohio. The cost for a certified copy is $24.
The Delaware General Health District is the latest of 23 local Vital Statistics Registrar’s offices across Ohio to offer statewide birth certificate issuance. For additional information phone 740-368-1700.
