Central Ohio is home to lots of Clark Griswald types. There are houses that boast 40,000+ lights — to go with an equally amazing electric bill in January.
However, today’s DelawareOH365 edition features the “professionals” take on great lighting displays. For the 11th holiday season, Alum Creek Marina has been transformed from a boater’s paradise to a holiday wonderland.
The event runs nightly through Sunday, January 2, and offers free cookies and hot chocolate in Santa’s playhouse. Cost to visit is based on the car load and is $10 on Monday through Thursday (except $15 from December 21-24); Friday, Saturday, and Sunday its $15. Larger vehicles are a little more ranging from $20 – $60. A portion of the proceeds is donated to Delaware County’s Recreation Unlimited.
The display is open Sunday through Thursday from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5:30 – 10:30 p.m.
