Can you keep a secret? I mean this has to be between you and me, because those REALTORS® out there will start talking if they knew about what I’m going to tell you.
I sometimes say REAL-a-tor. Yep. That’s right.
It is the biggest sin that you can commit to many real estate professionals – that pay their membership dues to be a member of the National Association of REALTORS® – when it comes to what they think about other agents.
Or at least, that’s what you would believe. Now I come from the foot-hills of Appalachia and every once in a while a little “drawl” slips into my speech and the REAL-tor becomes a REAL-a-tor. I could understand why you never use me again, because I’m sure that is the number one reason you select an agent to sell your home.
Oh wait it isn’t? Nevermind.

In Tennessee we lean more towards “REAL-uh-tur”.
Toby,
I actually think this ‘sin’ will attract more clients. Most can’t resist a different accent once in a while =).

Joe – I hope you’re right :p (figuring that we can “spark” conversation is always a good thing)
