It has wine and the proceeds will assist dogs. Do I really need to tell you anything more?
Okay, okay. Shamrock Vineyard – in rural Waldo, Ohio just north of the Delaware and Marion county line – is hosting Bark and Wine on Saturday, September 4, from 5 p.m. until dusk.

Bark and Wine will take place at Shamrock Vineyard in rural Waldo, Ohio, on September 4 beginning at 5 p.m. (barkandwine.org)
Proceeds from the event, sponsored by Shamrock Vineyard, will support the Marion Area Humane Society’s efforts to partner people and animals in a positive manner. Owning a pet is a huge responsibility and through continued educational efforts the Marion Area Humane Society hopes to increase the retention rate of all pets and also to help limit the overpopulation in Marion County.
Adoptable animals will be visiting at the event. However, adoptions will not take place at the event but may be conducted at the Marion Area Humane Society during normal business hours.
In addition to the dinner, the event will feature Shamrock wines, an exciting raffle and silent auction. Live music. Diners will enjoy barbecued chicken and pork, pasta, salad, bread and dessert.
Tickets for the dinner are $30 for adults, $15 for children under 12 and must be ordered by Monday, August 31. For more information or ticket reservations, contact Emily (e-mail) or Van Creasap (e-mail) at (740) 726-2883.
Shamrock Vineyard is located at 111 County Road 25 in Waldo, Ohio.
