Best Coffee In (Almost) Delaware

Anyone that’s a long-time reader of this site knows that there has been a hole in my coffee-drinking heart since Trotter’s Coffee Company closed in downtown Delaware, Ohio.

Java Jan Gourmet Coffee

Well my search is over.

It came via Twitter — more particularly Faye Stock Oney (@fayeincolumbus) — with a post remarking on the excellent coffee she had at Java Jan Gourmet Coffee in Dublin, Ohio, about two miles south of the Delaware – Franklin County line.

Java Jan Gourmet Coffee is located at 16 North High Street in historic Dublin, Ohio just north of West Bridge Street (State Route 161).

Jan Antaeur – otherwise known as JavaJan – has been brewing coffee for three years getting prepared to open her first shop. Guests to her store will receive a “warm welcome, providing a quality drink,” said Jan recently. Her passion for coffee got her into the field and it is the pride she takes in her product that makes it better than the “green” chain across the way.

And the quality shows not only the service – she or Austin will actually make what you order not pour it out of a pre-mixed jug – but also in the flavor.

“All of my coffees are 100% Arabica,” she said. “It is roasted in small batches to insure freshness, roasted at the optimum level, and the cherries are hand picked. I never serve coffee unless I personally taste test it. Even the decaf coffee is swiss water processed, which means no chemicals. The espresso is organic and served daily.”

Served fresh daily is a great cup of coffee and a wonder dose of JavaJan. Don’t miss it.
