Prior to September 11, 2001, Memorial Day for many Americans was more about the “unofficial” start of summer than honoring our fallen veterans.
Unfortunately, that one day has changed a generations view of Memorial Day.
Now, every generation of Americans has lost friends, family, co-workers, and community members to our foreign wars. So on this Memorial Day, I say thank you to all that gave their life so that I — and millions of Americans — can enjoy this life of freedom and prosperity.
Please remember, that every day is Memorial Day.
