“This is the best time of the year to go to the woods because the sun seeping through the trees (before the leave form) is stimulating the wild flowers to show their colors as you will never see them the rest of the year,” according to Farmer Dick.

Please bring a dish for the potluck that includes mushrooms or dessert — doesn’t have to have mushrooms — for the 4 p.m. potluck. Bring your children, but leave the pets at home.

At some point, Farmer Dick will give brief tour of the farm and talk about the health benefits of real food from the farm and Monavie juice.

Flying J Farm is located at 5239 Van Fossen Road – between Drury and Shipley Roads – northeast of Johnstown, Ohio.
