Delaware Seniors Can Get Free Groceries

It has been a tough year for everyone. But those on fixed-incomes are very vulnerable to the economic changes.

Council for Older Adults of Delaware County (find them on Facebook) is administrating a program to assist seniors with a free monthly box of groceries.

To be eligible, seniors have too meet three criteria:

  • Age 60 or older
  • Live in Delaware (Ohio) County
  • Have income of $14,079 per year for single or $18,941 for a couple

A representative may be appointed for home-bound individuals. Availability is limited! Sign up at the Center for Older Adults by visiting the center at 800 Cheshire Road in southern Delaware, Ohio. For more information contact Toni Dodge at (740) 363-6677.

The Commodity Supplemental Food Program is a federal USDA food and nutrition program and this project has been funded at least in part with federal funds from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
