Liberty Community Children’s Center in Delaware, Ohio, is competing against 1,095 other projects to receive $25,000 in funding from the Pepsi Refresh Project. (you can vote below)

Pepsi is donating $1.3 million each month to worthy causes around the country. They are determining the worthy causes by a collective vote, where at the end of the month the top 10 projects receive funding for their project.

With the money, LCCC will work with a naturalist playground designer and a commercial playground installer to design and build a new, safe, secure, and fun outdoor play space for infants and toddlers in a low-income area of Delaware, Ohio. The current playground has not been refreshed for years and is available to the children that attend the Liberty Community Center as well as the residents of Delaware City.

According to Tim Adams, executive director of LCCC, the key points to remember are:

  • Each person (1 email address) can vote once a day until April 1st
  • Once you log in you still need to vote by pushing the vote button. You can see you vote if your vote counter at the bottom of the page move from “10” to “9”
  • Our votes from last month DO NOT carry over
  • You can ask LCC to vote for you if you don’t think you will remember or you have technical problems
  • Please be faithful to vote and then ask everyone you know to also join us in voting. You do not have to live in Delaware to vote.

If you have any additional questions or would like to assist Adams in promoting this cause contact him via e-mail or call him at (740) 369-3876.
