If you haven’t heard about Breakaway Cycling in downtown Delaware, Ohio, then you’ve been living in front of your television.
Time to get out and enjoy the world and on a bicycle is a great way to do it. Dan Negly and his employees at Breakaway Cycling are just the folks to see. They know their stuff having been in busines sin downtown Delaware since 1991 and is one of the community’s downtown elder statesmen. Dan is a former president of Main Street Delaware and very active in the community.
But then would you expect anything less from the owner of a bicycle shop?
When you visit Breakaway Cycling you might pay more than you would at the “big-box” but then you might not. “We are going to find the best product for you,” Negley said. “That might not be the $2,000 bike that the big-box kid is trying to sell you but something more basic – and cheaper.”
Someone that is interested in selling you the right item? Isn’t that a great concept.
But your experience doesn’t end when you buy the bike. Breakaway Cycling offers full-service and repair on all bikes — even if you didn’t buy it from them.
Breakaway Cylcing is located at 17 West William Street – next to Hoggy’s Restaurant (former Brown Jug Restaurant) just west of Sandusky Street – in downtown Delaware, Ohio. They are currently on their winter hours (and will be until March 31) which are 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. from Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, and closed on Sunday.
