Flytown Soul Revue will bring their blend of funk and soul to the Backstretch Bar in downtown Delaware, Ohio on Saturday beginning at 9:30 p.m.
According to the band’s Web site, it “is a six-piece funk and soul band based in Columbus that specializes in music from the ’60s and 70s. Including songs by Sam and Dave, Ike and Tina Turner, Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin, The JBs, The Bar Kays, and more. With members by way of San Diego, Cleveland, Chicago, and Columbus, The Flytown Soul Revue is a must-see musical force with a high-energy sound that will make you want to dance. The music of The Flytown Soul Revue appeals to all funk, soul, and blues fans alike.”
Of particular interest to the Delaware and Ohio Wesleyan communities, band members spent time in Delaware and are Ohio Wesleyan alumni.
