The Art Loft in downtown Delaware, Ohio is hosting "Behind the Bars" in January.
Art helps us explore change, in ourselves and in others. In our community there are programs that help facilitate change and enlightenment.
That is the focus of January’s exhibit, “Behind the Bars” at The Art Loft, which represents works of individuals participating in programs at The Marion Correctional Institution in Marion, Ohio.
“Incarceration does not diminish the innate need to create. The creative process is complicated by many factors in prison yet it still provides a focus and purpose for moving through life. All of the artists exhibiting in ‘Beyond the Bars’ are self taught and express their own unique view of the their experience of humanity.”
So take a moment this month and visit the Art Loft at 59 1/2 North Sandusky Street in downtown Delaware, Ohio. The Loft is open on Thursday and Friday from 12-5 (except First Friday) and Saturday 12-4.
