Toby Boyce, professional REALTOR, provides a video buyer’s tip on looking at vacant homes in Ohio during the winter.

Houses are often not heated and hence are “harder” to do a diligent review on them. They keys to check for include:

  1. Look at the ceiling for water stains and also along the floor — especially in the basement.
  2. Look under sinks and at the piping throughout the house to keep an eye on the “quality” of the plumbing and duct work throughout the house. Grab a toilet and make sure it is still connected to the floor and not busted off its base.
  3. Make sure the mechanicals throughout the house appear to be in working order.

Buyer’s Tip is a video series being produced by professional REALTOR Toby Boyce to assist home buyers in the Central Ohio market. For more information call Toby at (740) 990-9748 or contact him
