They may not be offering door-busting deals on televisions, but they’ve got some wonderful creative gifts in downtown Delaware, Ohio.

And you should be sure to stop and support these local businesses as they create a better community for us in our wonderful community.

I was showing houses to a buyer the other day and she said, “I love how Delaware has a distinct downtown district. It just seems that so many of the other towns around Columbus have lost that.”

However, if we spend all our money in Polaris, Easton, or any of the other faceless mega-shopping centers that surround us, then what becomes of our quaint downtown? It will continue to suffer. The economy is tough enough on all of us, so please give them the opportunity to earn your dollar. I think you’ll like what you find.
