Wildlights at the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium opened this weekend and will run throughout the Holiday season.

A new feature this year will be the Holiday Encounters Village which will feature replica memorabilia from classic and contemporary holiday movies — wonder if Ralphie will put his eye out? — along with an animated holiday light show set to Christmas carols. In addition Santa will be available for visits and photos through December 23.

Another new feature will be “Animals on Safari: Holidays at the Camp” which will be at Jungle Jack’s Landing. The event will continue the show began over the summer with a holiday twist and has more than 100 rescued dogs and cats.

Wildlights runs through January 2 at the Zoo. Hours are Sunday through Thursday 5-9 p.m. and Friday from 5-10 p.m. with the exception of November 26, December 24, and December 25 when the exhibit will be closed. Admission is $12 for adults and $7 for children (2-9) and seniors (60+).

The Columbus Zoo is located at 9900 Riverside Drive in southern Delaware County.
