The 14th annual Delaware Area Handbell Festival will be held tonight, November 22, at 7 p.m. in University Hall’s Gray Chapel on the campus of Ohio Wesleyan University.

Handbell ensembles from 11 Delaware, Sunbury, Waldo, Powell, and Prospect churches as well as the Del Chimers from the Senior Citizens of Delaware County will play separately together. A handchime ensemble from Old Stone Presbyterian will join the festival for the first time.

Denise Holmes, a retired music teacher, is the festival director and will lead the massed ensemble in “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring,” “Festive Rondo,” “O Holy Night,” and “Angel Tidings.” Joseph Musser will provide organ music.

The concert is free but a donation will be accepted. For more information contact Ruth Rabby at 740.369.3254. Ohio Wesleyan is located on South Sandusky Street just south of downtown Delaware, Ohio.
