HelpLine is holding its second annual fundraising Jazz & Silent Auction Event on October 17 from 4 – 7 p.m. at the 1808 American Bistro, across from the Strand Theatre in downtown Delaware, Ohio.
There will be lots of fun silent auction items including unique baskets and other things from area businesses as well as some higher-end items such as autographed albums by Miles Davis, Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, Aretha Franklin, and the Eagles; autographed posters of Miley Cyrus, Star Trek Cast, Greys Anatomy cast; an autographed 8×10 picture of Eric Clapton; a signed Ringo Starr drumhead; a BB King guitar signed by the great man himself, and a baseball signed by President Barack Obama. There will also be a live auction of a Spa Package sponsored by 1820 Collective as well!
October 17 is Sweetest Day so it’s a great date nite event. Free carriage rides during the evening and you are done in plenty of time to watch the OSU game beforehand (an away game), or afterwards, attend the first Central Ohio Symphony concert of the season, pruise the Ghost Walk, or whatever other event to round out your evening! Cost of ticket includes great food & wines! Great music! Cash bar for those non-wine imbibers! And Great fun!
And it all benefits the work of HelpLine. Especially now, it is essential that to be there for people 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with telephone crisis support and resource information to meet the demand for HelpLine’s services. Help them continue to provide vital services to Delaware County residents and have fun at the same time!
Tickets are $30 a person or $50 a couple.

Nice blog. would love to enjoy the great night of wine. wish if I could make it to the great date nite event on 17 October.
Hi Toby,
Thank you for helping us promote our jazz fundraiser! We had a wonderful time and turnout, much due to the wonderful people like you who blogged, tweeted and facebooked about the event. This year we both double attendance and profit; I can’t thank you enough for playing a role in our success.
Best regards,
Tamika Vinson
