Softball Pitching Clinic in Delaware

316714_lets_play_ballThe City of Delaware Department of Parks and Recreation has partnered with On the Mound to offer you a five week session on the mechanics of softball pitching.

The instructor, Emily Windle-Halpin is a former assisting pitching coach at Ohio Wesleyan University and currently owns on the Mound. Each session is limited to 10 students.

  • Beginner is for students that want to learn how to successfully do the windmill motion of fast-pitch softball. A catcher will be required after the first class. The time runs from 2 – 3 p.m.
  • Intermediate is for those that have pitching experience and will cover the use of change-ups, corners, and speed. Again a catcher will be needed for all sessions. The class will run from 3 – 4 p.m.

The classes will run from October 4 through November 1 at the Mingo Recreation Center and resident rates are $45 and non-resident rate is $55.
