The Salvation Army’s Greewood Lake Day Camp will host nine sessions of Summer Day Camp from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The program is designed for students in grades first through eighth and each session will provide themed activities and academic enrichments.
- Session 1: Super Science- Explore science in new ways! We will look at inventions, make experiments and discover how science impacts our world daily!
- Session 2: Creepy, Crawly, Cuddly Creatures- A look at the animals and insects that share our habitat.
- Session 3: All American- A Patriotic exploration of our history! Play the way kids did in the past, discover the traditions, games, and crafts that are a part of America.
- Session 4: Around the Globe- A race around the World to experience and investigate cultures.
- Session 5: Survivor Camp- You and your fellow campers are being castaway in the wilds of Delaware! Participate in challenges, games and other activities to see who will survive!
- Session 6: Folktales, Fairytales & Favorites- Leap into Literature in a whole new way! Enter the world of classic characters and new favorites by experiencing some of the same challenges! Create new characters and stories from your imagination.
- Session 7: Wild, Wild, West- Pack your bags! We are head out west to the land of Cowboys & Indians. Settle the Town of Greenwood Lake and stake your claim!
- Session 8: Water World- Swim, Boat and Splash as we explore how much fun water can be!
- Session 9: Game on! – Games come in all shapes and sizes and this is the week to play and create! Field games, to board games we will play them all! Bring your strategy and luck!
The cost is $125 per week with financial assistance for those who qualify. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis so take a moment and register for a coming session.
Greenwood Lake Camp is located at 340 Lake Street on the northern edge of Delaware.
