Marion County International Raceway Park (MCIR) opens the 2009 season on Saturday with the first night of points racing for the big-boys and junior divisions.
The 2009 season will run from 6-11 p.m. with time trials. It is $10 to race, $10 to watch, $10 for trailer cars, and children under 12 are free.
MCIR is one of the closest drag strips to Delaware proper, however if you are the county’s east side Mt. Vernon’s Pacemakers would probably be closer.
MCIR is located off State Route 37 about three miles southwest of LaRue and about 25 minutes northwest of Delaware.
