2008 Locust Curve Housing Report

The 2008 selling season was tough on home owners in Locust Curve.

All the indicators from sales to price were at their lowest point of the past five years. Where will 2009 lead us? Depends on whom you talk to.

Looking back at 2008

  • Number of listings sold: 17, -26% compared to 2007
  • Average Sales Price: $156,021, -11%
  • List Price Per Square Foot: $86, – 9%
  • Sold Price Per Square Foot: $81, -14%
  • Sold Price Range: $108,000 – $199,900

While the numbers are not very pretty, they pretty much show what you’d expect from our current housing economy. By comparison, the city of Delaware was down 6.5 % from 2007 to 2008 (see the entire Delaware activity report).
