It has been an unofficial “Buckeye Week” on television.
Finally had a chance to catch Travel Channel‘s Man V. Food yesterday where he visits several Columbus mainstays (check out Adam’s Vlog, including two Columbus entries).
He took on the Thurman burger at The Thurman Cafe, the Bahma Mama at Schimdt’s Sausage Haus and Ohio Deli. He took on the Dagwood Challenge at the Ohio Deli and passed with flying colors.
Personally, we’ve been to Schmidt’s and love the sausage and cream puffs. However all the others are now on my list of place to get to in 2009.
Also yesterday, History Channel was doing its show in Ice Cream and its history and featured French Pot process. (Though I will say their blog is like most, conceived and ignored.)
