Christmas Coming to Downtown Delaware

December’s First Friday in downtown Delaware is the ceremonial arrival of Santa’s House.

Ceremonial, because he actually arrived during the Christmas parade held the Sunday before Thanksgiving and Sadie doesn’t condone Christmas before Thanksgiving, so we had no coverage here.

On Friday, First Friday will include the stores being open late until 9 p.m. In addition there will be carolers, hot chocolate and cider, luminaries, and horse drawn carriage rides.

The annual Tree Lighting will be at 7:30 p.m. on the Green next to Hoggy’s. In addition, Santa’s House will be open from 6-8 p.m.

In addition to Friday, Santa’s House will be open:

  • December 6, 1-3 p.m.
  • December 12, 6-8 p.m.
  • December 13, 1-3 p.m.
  • December 19, 6-8 p.m.
  • December 20, 1-3 p.m.

This year’s holiday calendar is presented by Main Street Delaware and Hiram Masonic Lodge.

Sadie Lynn is the Boxer of Toby Boyce, a REALTOR with Keller Williams Consultants Realty, and Mrs. Toby. Sadie has been hearing more than she can take about real estate and Delaware since Toby became an agent in July. So, she decided to take into her own hands and created this site to share her new knowledge. Enjoy, my take on Delaware, Ohio and real estate as a general.
