Delaware Neighborhood to Host Historic Home Tour

Driving through Delaware’s Historic Northwest District is like taking a step back in time. But for the majority the homes exterior is as close as we come.

However, on Saturday from 4-8 p.m., a collection of Delaware homes will be open for the Northwest Neighborhood Association’s Tour of Historic Homes.

“One hundred percent of the proceeds from tickets sales for the Tour of Historic Homes will go to charities within the city of Delaware,” said Northwest Neighborhood Aassociation President Mike Lobell.

  • 25 Darlington, a Craftsman Bungalow owned by Kris Colb
  • 265 Fountain, a Sears home at its best owned by Neil and Kathy Warren
  • 71 W. Lincoln, a Queen Anne owned by Andy Knight and Hillary Kline
  • 302 N Franklin St, a Four Square Craftsman home owned by Dr Kenn and Linda Lewis
  • 52 W Winter St, a Second Empire Style owned by Tim Kannally and Jennifer Love
  • 161 W. Winter, a Victorian Mansion owned my Charlton and Roxanne Amidon
  • 150 W Winter, a Victorian American Four Square at its best, owned by Chad and Sarah Heald
  • 174 W. Winter, a Contemporary owned by Dave and Pat Holstein
  • 185 W. Winter St, The Winter St Inn an Italianate owned by Rodger Collom and Debbie Aburmaieleh

The tour will begin at Asbury United Methodist Church, located at the corner of Franklin and Lincoln Streets. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at Beehive Books in downtown Delaware and The Winter Street Inn at Elizabehth and Winter Streets. Tickets are $12 day of the tour.
