Worthington’s New Face, Old Flavor

Gretchen and I had the chance to visit Jason’s Restaurant and Bar at its new location in Worthington during our vacation.

While, Jason’s location at 6880 North High Street is its newest location it has been in Dublin for several years and owner Jason Liu (at left) is owner of China Way in the Worthington Square Mall.

We began with an appetizer of Calamari Fritto Misto ($8.99) which had calamari and banana peppers lightly dusted with batter and served with a spicy remoulade and marinara. The quality of the ingrediants was very evident, however we would liked a little more flavor in the batter.

Gretchen enjoyed the Garden Salad ($5.99) and I had a soup of the day ($3.99) which was a chicken barley. The two of them were exceptional. The Chicken Barley soup was one of the best I’ve ever had.

I had Chef Geoffrey’s Favorite Pasta ($10.99) and Gretchen had Grilled Chicken Alla Bruschetta ($11.99) for our entrees. Both of our entrees sounded a lot better on the menu than they tasted on the plate. The quality was evident in the ingrediants and the presentation was excellent.

The quality of the food was very evident. While neither of us were overly excited by our initial entree selections, we both plan to return and enjoy another entree.
