Just as the bricks began going on the outside of the new Advanced Auto Parts store in Westfield Center another tenant announced it was vacating the development at the corner of Central (State Route 37) and Houk Road in Delaware, Ohio.
The Westfield Center branch of Fifth Third Bank will close and all accounts will be transferred to the Fifth Third location downtown, according to a letter received by account holders.
As a Fifth Third customer, I don’t like the move but can understand the need to reduce branches right now. I also hope that the great tellers are given new jobs within the organization, they are some of the best in the area at making banking personal.
It was a big reason, I chose Fifth Third over several of their competitors.
