In a world growing as fast as the Internet there is a “newest” and “greatest” social network hitting the Web every single hour.
I’ve been through Active Rain, Facebook, My Space, Second Life, and more. But, right now my fancy is being captured by the micro-blogging sensation known as Twitter. How much so you may ask, well …
- December 221 twits
- January 435 twits
- February 497 twits
- March on pace for a whopping 720 twits
What does Twitter do? Well basically you blog about your social existence in 140-characters or less. The concept is pretty basic, the impact is amazing.
“Jeez, are you Twittering again?”
Originally, the concept was “what are you doing?” And it has remained that way for some, but for many it has become a place for open conversation. I recently earned my e-Twit designation meaning that I have more than 100 followers and have sent more than 1,000 twits.
Not everyone appreciates the connections we make on Twitter, as evidence by my wife’s recation. “Jeez, are you Twittering again?” However, for those of us that enjoy the companionship, this is a fun way to get outside the box of other blogging / social media sites and into micro-twittering.

Chris - I’m sorry, I thought I was following you. It has been taken care of though.

I just sit here at the computer sometimes and laugh my [ intentionally left blank ] off from the goofy stuff we do in Twitter!
And then there is the support, learning all the coolest new stuff first, always someone who can answer a question — and I have made friends that I dearly love. Wonderful stuff!
