“Black people in America have much greater inner power than they realize, but they must re-discover themselves in order to use,” is the message of Na’im Akbar.
Akbar will appear in Ohio Wesleyan’s Hamilton-Williams Campus Center’s Benes Rooms on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
Akbar, a professor at Florida State University, has appeared on “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” “The Geraldo Show,” and “The State of the Black Union 2008″ broadcasts.
The event is free and open to the public and concludes the University’s celebration of Black History Month.
