Always one of those things that every “country” minded individual has thought about having at one time or another is a log cabin.
This weekend the Voinovich Trade Center at the Ohio Fairgrounds will be site of The Log and Timber Home Shows and Seminars, whew that’s a long name.
The show runs Friday (noon – 7), Saturday (10-6) and Sunday (10-4) and will include a lot of opportunities to learn more about buying or building your dream log cabin.
The schedule includes a 101 course on designing and building your log home, the cutting edge use of “half-log” homes, and maitenance for those that bought or built their home. It appears these repeat each day, so you can go once and get all the information.
Admission is $15, or you can pre-register or download a coupon for $3 off.

I’ll tell my best friend, who plans to build her own log cabin in the somewhat-near future. Maybe she’d think it’s worth the drive.
Have her check the Web site, they have these all over the nation so one might be a little closer to her than C-bus.
