A few weeks back we featured a “Delaware’s Best” on the best places to make those new year’s resolutions a reality.
Well here we sit at the end of January and if you’re like the rest of us, the urge to cheat has already filtered in. So, why not just blow them out of the water one good time and get back on track in the morning?
So without further ado, we look at the best places to blow your resolutions out of the water.
- Get a Better Job. Dusted off that resume yet? No. Hmm … see a problem with that?
- Get in Shape. There are too many good restaurants in Delaware and walking from the couch to the fridge is not a reason to enjoy a night at Crazy Charlie’s Bar & Grill!
- Spend Less & Pay Down Debt. Have you walked into those downtown stores? Me too. There goes No. 3.
- Give Up Habit. With Grady’s offerings there is no reason to not be on the band-wagon. However they say if you do something for 21 consecutive days it will become a habit, so go for it. Fight through three weeks and see if you still crave that vice.
- Get A Better Education. Did you send the form in? Did you go to class? Then you will not pass.
- Find a Mate. Best place to break this is at home. Sorry, but if you don’t make an effort to meet new people, you’ll never find that special someone.
- Take a Trip. It is January in Ohio, so snow and cold is going to be in the forecast. But, remember it is seasons like this that make us appreciate those 90 degree and 90 percent humidity days in August — or so they say.
- Be More Organized. I was going to answer this one, but lost my notes.
- Find a Hobby. Keep going to the same places and working too much and playing too little. I love to work with wood, but haven’t given myself the time to do it. On New Year’s Day, I made a small shelf for the office and the feeling of accomplishment was such a up-lifting one. Go ahead give it a try, step out of that comfort zone!
- Buy a House of Move. Renew that lease on your apartment…
So there you go, a few good reasons to not make those new year’s resolutions a reality. However not nearly as many as the good that will come from achieving your goals.
