Best Buy store number 1167 in Marysville, Ohio had its quarterly meeting this morning and announced its award winners.
Toby Boyce, yes me, was named the Employee of the Quarter for my work there during the holiday season.
Why am I telling you this?
- To brag? Not really.
- To boast? Isn’t that the same as bragging?
- I’m bored? You might be, but I’m so busy right now I don’t have time
The primary reason is a simple reminder to you in general and a specific one about myself.
The general principle: Stop complaining about your lot in life and make the best of it that you can. Do I want to be working at Best Buy? Of course not, it is taking 30 hours away from my dream job and notto mention my wife and Sadie. But I embraced it as a chance to improve myself and expand my network of friends and potential customers.
As to me in particular, I am proud of what I earned this morning as it is a testament to my creed: do the best you can. I put my heart into everything I do and that committment is what I believe takes me one step beyond many other real estate agents. But that’s just my opinion.
