The San Francisco Chronicle recently released a list of the top-blogging cities in the nation and amazingly Columbus, Ohio made the list at No. 8!

According to Nielsen Media Research the Top 10 are…

  1. Austin, Texas
  2. Portland, Oregan
  3. San Francisco Bay Area
  4. Seattle, Washington
  5. Honolulu, Hawaii
  6. San Diego, California
  7. Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas
  8. Columbus, Ohio
  9. Nashville, Tennessee
  10. Colorado Springs, Colorado

And from the sounds of things, Columbus is excited about the listing — but not resting on its laurels. COSI and WOSU have launched a new initiative, The Columbus Social Media Cafe, to use social media as a way to improve the greater community.

Very cool award and neat idea from COSI and WOSU. The next Cafe will be held on January 28.
