Not Getting Stranded

Delaware’s legendary Strand Theatre continues to evolve and gorw more than 90 years.

Both the Gazette and Dispatch have featured stories on the latest evolution of the Strand, which is going to be transferred from Ohio Wesleyan ownership into a non-profit foundation – led by a 15-member board with at least eight of them being OWU representatives.

On top of that, an architectural firm will evaluate the theatre to determine the ability to offer more than simply its three screens.

What does the future hold for the Strand?

That won’t be determined until the architect’s design plans come back. But, manager Kara McVay will not close the door on any options.
