November 12th, 2007 · No Comments

Girls at Christmas TreeGetting away to Lake Erie the first weekend in December is not usually a favorite activity for many. The winds have begun to shift to the north and bring along the snow and cold.

But, if you are willing to make the trek to The Lodge and Conference Center at Geneva-on-the-Lake, the latest addition to the Ohio State Park System’s fine lodges, you’ll be finely rewarded with an Elizabethan Yuletide Feaste.

The Feaste, presented by Kent State University Asthabula and the Ashtabula County Choral Society, will be performed on December 6 and 7 with doors at 6:15 p.m. and feaste begins at 7 p.m.

According to the promotional material …

You and your friends will enjoy an evening of fine music, wonderfully prepared cuisine, merry heatre, and enchanting pageantry. You and your friends will celebrate each course of this grande Feaste with fanfare followed by special entertainment. The Fease abounds with the spirit of the Holidays and the rich historie of the court of Queen Elizabeth the First, with singers and players, arrayed in period costumes, performing traditional holiday music and drama …

Tickets for the event are $35 per person or $300 for a table of 10, contact KSUA business office at 440-964-4238 to buy tickets. Combine your feaste with an overnight stay at the Lodge and packages begin at $139 per couple (plus tax, of course) and contact the Lodge at 800-801-9982.
