Anyone that is a regular reader knows that I’m a huge baseball - in particular IndiansĀ - fan.
So tonight is going to be a great start to the AL Championship series when the Tribe takes on the Bosox for rights to represent the AL - and probably be favored - in the Word Series.
This has been a very unique season for the Indians from the snow that cost them their first home series to the bugs in the ALDS. For some, all this uniqueness is courtesy of an old statue honoring Ray Chapman (photo) that was found buried this year.
Here is an interesting AP article on the Chapman Legacy, but for those that aren’t intersted Chapman was killed by a pitch in 1920 and the team dedicated its season in his honor and won Cleveland’s World Series.
Not sure I buy it, but if it ends the championship drought in Cleveland — I’ll give it some creedence.
