It’s been a while since, I’ve done a “get away” and just saw an advertisement for Prairie Peddler and thought it would be a great event to bring the trips back into vogue.
Prairie Peddler is occuring this weekend on Bunker Hill Road east of Butler, Ohio. It is a classic “throw-back” art show - you know the ones that try to give you a glimpse of what life was like 100 years ago. Of course, at the same time trying to get you to buy lots of trinkets.
The Peddler is open Saturday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Tickets are $6 for adults, $3 for children 6-12 and free for under-6 with free parking. There will be entertainment all day long - including Just Bluegrass - and lots of foods.
To get there from central Ohio, take I-71 north to State Route 97 (making sure to stop for lunch at Duth Harvest - sister to Plain City’s Der Dutchman) and proceed east on 97 to the Peddler’s site.
Enjoy!
