Delaware County Bicentennial Announces Two Meetings

The Delaware County Bicentennial Committee will be having two public meetings this month.

Delaware OhioThe first meeting is the Delaware County Bicentennial Committee’s monthly planning meeting.  This meeting will be on Tuesday May 29 at 7 p.m. in room G-22 of the Delaware County Hayes Governmental Center (160 N. Sandusky St.).  Please note that we are starting a half hour earlier than in the past.

The committee is currently developing plans to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Delaware County in 2008.  The main emphasis of this meeting will be to continue to plan for the celebration, discuss a possible budget, and to do some brainstorming about ways to get other organizations and celebrations involved with the planning for these celebrations.

The second is for anyone interested in helping with putting on a Civil War Reenactment as part of the Bicentennial Celebration.  This meeting will be on Wednesday, May 31, at 7 p.m. in the Lions Building (22 E. Morning St.) in Sunbury.  This we will be discuss the budget, financing, review of Mansfield Artillery Show, and other organizational details.
