According to an article in Thursday’s Delaware Gazette, T&R Properties and owner Ron Sabatino have told property owners that the golf course will remain open as a semi-private course.
This is the best possible news for the owners of the development. There had been numerous possibilities for what T&R Properties could do with the development. And with T&R’s background in property development it has been a tense week for owners in this Delaware subdivision.

This is good.
Good news!
It is great news.
what great news….
Tody,
I happen to be one of the home owners that has a house for sale in the Woods of Dornoch. I’ve been relocated and regret that I can’t pack up the community along with my house and take it with me. Living on the course has been fantastic. I have a beautiful house and great neighbors. The course and members are wonderful. New home buyers won’t find a better subdivision with affordable housing on a great golf course like Dornoch. Trust me I’m out looking and nothing compares!
It’s Delaware’s best kept secret! Foreeeeee!
Rhonda,
Thanks for that great review of Dornoch! Toby
I am thinking of buying in the Woods of Dornoch.. there are quite a few homes for sale on Covered Bridge Drive.. Any insight as to why? Is there something that is causing home owners to sell?
Michelle,
Thanks for stopping by. You need to ask this to your agent.
However the basic response is that people move for different reasons and you (and your agent) need to look for any underlying reasons that could be signs of future growth or challenges.
If you don’t have an agent, give me a call and we can discuss it more.

Toby they really come out at night, don’t they?
Elaine asked me if the agent who lives in one of the Dornoch neighborhoods who commented on one of your blog entries is the agent on the MLS alert recently. That was stuck in the back of my mind to come back to see what his name was, so when above hit my email I came back. Must be on the earlier entry.
Or maybe Elaine told me it is the same agent. The name did not mean anything to me when I saw it on MLS.
They do don’t they Maureen. Yes, it was Rich that was in the MLS alert. Scary stuff.
Always have to be on your toes.
Toby
Had to revisit and see if you had made any changes.
You are stronger than me!
Well the wind is blowing a different direction today. We stand to lose one of Delaware’s treasures. Hopefully the zoning committee members will stand firm on the current zoning.
