Delaware Ohio’s Best: Hamburger

A few days late on this week’s Delaware Best and I’m truly sorry for that. But thought we’d grab the All-American Favorite for this week’s selection … the HAMBURGER!

No Mc’s on this list, it’s a truly Delaware experience to make this list.

Sunday’s Best: Red Rock Café

Sitting on Delaware’s west side, Red Rock  Café is not a top of mind destination for a lot of residents, and on Sunday that’s a crying shame. They have one of the areas best hamburgers – any way you want it cooked – however on Sunday it is the daily special. Order your hamburger and fries and for a low price you get a wonderful meal. It is a bar environment, so maybe not the best for young-ones in the later evenings.

Deep-Fried Day: Nova

Nova is only open for dinner in downtown Delaware, but the meals are worth a trip downtown at any hour. They have a fabulous margarita menu however that’s now what this topic is about. They have a deep-fried jalapeno burger on the menu that is exactly what you look for in a burger – sloppy, heavy, and downright excellent.

It is a Chain, But…: Culvers

With more than 100 stores, five in Ohio and two in the greater Columbus market, Culvers is not a usual restaurant that we’d feature on this list. The location in Powell is located at Sawmill Parkway and Powell Road and features the “butter burger”. Not something that you want to have every day, but the burger is worth the trip out of town.

So get out and give these a try this weekend, as it appears the weather will not be kind to us.
