Found some interesting numbers tonight as I was preparing the weekly re-cap and thought I’d pass them on, even though they are now over a month old.
We should be seeing similar numbers from March soon, and I’ll pass them on as when they are announced.
Single Family Residences
| Time Period | Units Sold | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| February 2006 | 179 | $265,000 |
| February 2007 | 185 | $269,000 |
| Change | + 3% | + 2% |
Condominiums
| Time Period | Units Sold | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| February 2006 | 31 | $223,000 |
| February 2007 | 41 | $176,000 |
| Change | + 32% | - 21% |
The single-family homes should be a shocker to anyone, pretty flat and without a lot excitement. The condo market is double-digit growth matched with double-digit declines in price. However, it is hard to get excited about the change from 31 to 41 units or to get too worried about the double-digit decline in price.
