I’ve Been Corrected: Delaware Has a Bookstore!

Wow. This was embarrasing. After writing about Delaware’s need for a bookstore – I find out that we’ve had one for five years.

In my defense, I’m not the only that didn’t know she was there; but that doesn’t really make it a lot better. However, after my trip on Tuesday, I’ll be stopping in more often.

Play Onwards is located at 24 East Winter Street – nex door to the Strand Theatre – and that is part of her identity crisis. The Strand has movie theatres posters all over the windows on the east side of her shop, and with the theatre on the west side, I had just looked right over posters as being more movie propaganda.

Play Onwards buys and sells news and used books, movies and video games. And from my visit — where I picked up a copy of George S. Clason’s The Richest Man in Babylon for $3.50 — she has a very large collection of these items for sale. I really enjoy the visit and only wish that it hadn’t been 5:50 when I strolled in so I’d had more time to browse.

The store is open until 6 during the week and can be reached by calling 362-4868.

Sadie has been hearing more than she can take about real estate and Delaware since Toby became an agent in July. So, she decided to take into her own hands and created this site to share her new knowledge. Enjoy, my take on Delaware, Ohio and real estate as a general.
