It isn’t often that soildors get more than a year to prepare for battle, but the Delaware County’s Bicentennial Committee has put out a call to arms.

The Battle of Sunbury will return in 2008 and will include a similar schedule as the 2003 battle.

“Over 100 reenactors attended the 2003 event and they are still talking about this reenactment and the hospitality of the people of Sunbury.Ā  So, I am sure we will have an event bigger attendance next year.” said Richard Helwig, the event co-coordinator.

It takes a lot of work to put on a successful Battle and if you are interested in being part of the planning committee — stop by the Sunbury Town Hall on Thursday at 7 p.m.
