Developing downtowns often are over-run with one thing … antique stores.
So what would a trip to downtown Delaware be without a visit to one of the antique stores? Well I’m not sure.
There are currently two downtown and the third is at Winter and Central on the east side.
Etc. Etc. Antiques (photo) is not located downtown, but it is unique from the other two for more than location. Etc. Etc. is owned and operated by one person. Toby recently purchased an antique mirror that matched his great-grandfather’s bed, and was able to “dicker” with the owner over the price. Etc. Etc. has a lot of diamonds in the rough. However, if you don’t like digging for what you want then this probably isn’t the best place for you. Etc. Etc. could probably add Etc. more square-feet and not even come close to having enough space.
The other two antique stores, actually they are malls, are located downtown — almost right across Sandusky Street from each other. They offer a wide collection of offerings … and as they say “one person’s junk is another man’s treasure.” So, I’m sure they contain something for everyone — and they have about everything you can think off from old records to antique furniture to … well the list is endless.
So looking to make something old new again? Then head to one of Delaware’s antique stores (malls) and they’ll be glad to help you out.
